Today, I’m going to share with you this little hidden secret so that even if you’ve never sold anything online before, you’re going to look like a PRO seller – and most importantly, make money!
Let’s not beat about the bush. Selling on a popular shopping site like Amazon can be a double-edged sword: on one hand, you get millions of guaranteed traffic to your eBook, but on the other hand, you need more effort to stand out from the crowd of similar products.
Now, one of my favourite types of eBook to sell is one that’s on weight loss. It’s a very hot topic that really resonates with many shoppers all year round (because who doesn’t want to lose weight and look good!?), so you could imagine that I’m not the only one who’s eager to sell something about weight loss.
Take the example below.
Let’s say both I and another seller are selling eBooks on weight loss – and our eBooks share very similar content.
Well … so why should a shopper buy from me instead of the other seller?
On other shopping platforms like Lazada, Qoo10, eBay and even Carousell, a shopper would typically compare prices. Likewise, on Amazon, a shopper may also look for the cheaper option.
But a pricing war would only hurt our bottom lines at the end of the day.
Since your objective is to make a lot of money, I urge you to throw out this ‘cheap is good’ mindset and focus on other parts of your product that can attract customers.
In fact, the most crucial part of your product is the packaging. In the case of an eBook, your cover could be the difference between a shopper buying your eBook and a shopper buying your competitor’s eBook.
In the example above, my title ‘The 100 Count Only Sugar Calories And Lose Up To 18 Lbs. In 2 Weeks’ is definitely more defined and clearer than ‘Eat. Nourish. Glow. 10 Easy Steps For Losing Weight, Looking Younger and Feeling Healthier’.
In naming your eBook, a title that’s able to give your prospective readers concrete (i.e. measurable) ideas as opposed to abstract ones is always more valuable to them because it tells them EXACTLY what to expect if they read your eBook.
If you’re a buyer who is intent on slimming down by a lot and quickly, would you want to just lose weight and feel healthier …
Or would you feel more confident of getting a result if I told you that you can lose up to 18 Lbs. (8 kg) in 2 weeks?
Now, do you see …
